Welcome to 2008
Another year has beckoned us in, and I for one am optimistic as to its outcome. During 2007 we made a series of further investments at BMS Imaging Ltd that through 2008 will continue to enhance the range of products and services available from the studio. Not that we shall stop there, because as we all know, we must continue to evolve for survival and growth, or, in the words of Neil Young, ”Rust Never Sleeps”.
New products and services
Moving into 2008, we have already identified a number of new exhibition systems and printing services that should be available from spring onwards. Most are merely new to BMS Imaging Ltd, but some will be new to you all. I will present the products through this newsletter, and as I feel it necessary for us to test new items rigorously, also let you know how our testing is progressing.
For example, we will shortly be testing some portable outdoor flag units and new models for indoor pull-up banners. Further into the year, a new semi-permanent system will become available to us that will take flexible images (similar to pop-up graphics), mounted panels or roll-down graphics, and can be constructed in various shapes and heights. These new products, along with the popular systems we have been producing in the past, will increase the choices for you.
New projects
Soon we’ll be starting a scanning project for a photographic library to provide both high- and low-resolution images for web browsing and reproduction. BMS Imaging Ltd will become an outlet for the sale of these images. Again, I’ll use this newsletter to provide further details as this project comes online.
New future
I began this issue with an optimistic outlook and I hope the above shows you why. The Government has warned us to tighten our belts because their outlook is not so optimistic. Let’s not make the mistakes of the past, when companies reduced advertising to save money only to compensate by increasing advertising to arrest falling sales. BMS Imaging Ltd will continue looking for new ways of trading and moving forward – as we have done for the past fifty years!
